Rupahi Kohinoor Club undertook several programs for the benefit of its target group. While implementing the programs, efforts were made to cover the beneficiaries who are socio-economically backward and deprived from education and other government benefits. The priority areas of the organization is Education, Welfare of Senior Citizens’, Women & Child Development, Skill Development, Employment, Awareness Generation, Environment Protection, Health, Drug De-Addiction, Agriculture, Skill training of transgender & beggary, Low vision centre, 10 bedded hospital for STs, Mobile Dispensary ST’s & SC’s, Specially Able Persons, Seminar, Tree plantation, Celebration of World women day, Children day and many other days etc.

Assistant Physiotherapy at Nagaon district of Assam:
The organization is running a Physiotherapy Course under Seekho aur Kamao Scheme of Assistant for Minority Students at Nagaon and Naltali Assam with the financial Assistance from Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India. Department of Maulana Azad Education Foundation through this project more than 250 nos. of beneficiaries were benefitted every year.

Senior SPA Therapist:
The organization is running Seekho aur Kamao another scheme of Senior SPA Therapist Course for Minority Students at Missa Assam with financial Assistance from Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India. Department of Maulana Azad Education Foundation through this project more than 100 nos. of beneficiaries were benefitted every year.
- PMKVY TRAINING EXPENSES:
Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana promote skill development in the country by providing free short duration skill training and incentivizing this by providing monetary rewards to youth for skill certification. The organization successfully completed the PMKVY project of 20 beneficiaries at Missa, Nagaon district of Assam. This project sponsored by DECT.
- CRAFTS TRAINING CENTRE FOR SC’S:
The RKC is running Craft Training Centre for the beneficiaries belonging to SC community at RKC project office Rupahi, Nagaon (Assam). Total 60 Nos. of Male and Female students take the benefit of achieving one year diploma in Craft under the scheme.
- SKILL TRAINING FOR TRANSGENDER & BEGGARRY:
Rupahi Kohinoor Club is running a unique project skill training for Transgender and beggarry at Baksa, and Nagaon district of Assam from its own sources. The objective of the training program is Skill Development and Capacity Building of transgender persons who have so far been looking for employment, without success and those who have lacked proper guidance. The Participants were trained on various life coping skills and personality development like problem solving, decision making, critical thinking, relationship building and work place etiquette among many other skills. The participants are assisted towards building self-confidence and self-esteem necessary to face the challenges at a work place. On the other hand our organization trains beggars to get wage/self-employment and for higher earnings, and/or improved working conditions, such as getting formal certification for hitherto informal skills.
- HANDICRAFTS TRAINING PROGRAMME:
The organization is running a Handicrafts Training Center at Rupahi, Nagaon, Assam form its own sources with a view to promote handicrafts by artisans. Through this training programme efforts are being taken for empowerment of artisans by making them active entrepreneurs cum primary stockholders in the process of development and bringing them to a visible platform for easy access to domestic and overseas market by upgrading the artisan’s skill through appropriate design and technology for producing value added handicraft items. However, for the effective implementation of the project the organization has conducted so many programmes such as handicrafts exhibition, design development workshop, skill up gradation training, integrated design & technical Dev. Workshop etc. in association with different agencies, NGOs, etc.During this year 200nos. Artisans were benefitted from this programme.
- EMPLOYMENT CUM-INCOME GENERATING PROGRAMME:
Unemployment is one of the burning problems not only in India but its impact has spread out around the globe. Due to COVID-19 pendamic situation this problem is growing gradually day to day. In order to reduce this problem, Government has taken various initiatives. Apart from that, Vocational Education has been introduced by setting up various Technical Institutions within Govt. & Non-Govt. level and the people have also given a good support to the efforts made by the Government. Our organization has implemented various vocational training-cum-production programmes. During this year, the organization has implemented the following vocational training programmes.

- NON-RESIDENTIAL SECONDARY SCHOOL:
The organization is running a Non Residential Secondary School for SC Children (Class I-VIII) at Saidaria, Rupahi in the district of Nagaon (Assam) with the support from the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India since 2016 with a capacity of 100 Nos. Provide free education with given yoga classes, vocational classes and computer classes, music etc free nutrition through Mid-Day-Meal, free uniforms, books, free monthly two times health checkup with medicines etc.
- SENIOR CITIZENS’ HOME:
The Organization is smoothly running a Senior Citizens’ Home with a capacity of 50 bedded at Abhayapuri, District Bongaigaon of Assam with the financial support from Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India. The home is exclusively for older persons above the age of 60 years. Now a days, many aged people are living uncared and unhonoured. Their own family members have neglected them. That is why Rupahi Kohinoor Club has taken this noble initiative to take care of the older persons from the Home. At present more than 50 beneficiaries are staying in the home. Their own family members have neglected them. And they do not have any legal guardian to look after them. So they have come out of their home. We provide them shelter, nutritious food, cloths, medical care, recreation and other facilities with free of cost.
- NAI ROSHNI
The organization has conducted 7 Nos. Training Programmes at Rupahi, Borghat, Gereki, Saidaria, Naltali, Kaliabor, and Hatibondha on Leadership Development of Minority Women under “Nai Roshni” scheme of Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India covering 175 Nos. women & girl beneficiaries each programme for 6 days duration. Through this training programme covering the topics on Common Childhood Illness, Family Planning, Government Mechanism, Health & Hygiene, Home Management, Public Distribution System, Waste Water Management, Nutrition, Life Skill Development, Issues related to Women & Girls, Welfare Scheme for Minority Women etc which will help to develop their leadership in the society and also help to build the nation and on the same issues publish a handbook for the Trainers & Trainees of the programme.
- INTEGRATED REHABILITATION CENTRE FOR ADDICTS:
The organization is running a Integrated Rehabilitation Center for Addicts at Rupahi, Nagaon, Assam since 2016 from its own sources with a capacity of 15 bedded. The organization has Create awareness, identification, counseling, treatment and rehabilitation of addicts with a view to reduce the consumption of alcohol & drugs and dependence producing substance, undertake preventive education programme. The organization has organized awareness programmes in different place of Nagaon district of Assam. Poster campaigns were also organized; IEC materials were developed and distributed amongst the people. Additional from this center provides constant help of psychologists and counselors not only to the patients but also to their relatives with the intention to support the victims to live a normal life with their own families and in communities.

We provides them free health checkup with medicines and also counseling by the engaged team. And through this project we have organized awareness meetings on various health issues among the rural community and provide primary medical care to those, who due to age and poverty cannot visit in hospital for treatment and approach regular doctors. It hence, becomes necessary to bring medical facilities at their doorsteps. For this project organization engaged a qualified Doctor, Health worker, Nurse, Pharmacist, Driver & social worker. The project is greatly appreciated by the beneficiaries specially woman and the older person.

- 10 BEDDED HOSPITALS FOR ST’s:
RKC is maintaining a Ten Bedded Hospital at Baksha and Nagaon district of Assam specially for the ST Community of both districts. The expenses for running the Hospital is being managed by the organization from its own sources. There is a full time doctor (MBBS) and a part time doctor along with 5 nurses and 3 other staffs. We have one physiotherapy doctor and also have a homeopathic doctor.
- Activities for Specially Able Persons:
- ADIP:
This organization running a helping hand project Assistance to Disabled Persons for Purchase by own sources. And 140 numbers of disable person benefitted by us at Rupahi. This scheme is to assist the needy disabled persons in procuring durable, sophisticated and scientifically manufactured, modern, standard aids and appliances that can promote their physical, social and psychological rehabilitation, by reducing the effects of disabilities and enhance their economic potential. 140 disabled beneficiary to walk on their own we are giving wheel chair, tricycle double, tricycle single, walking frames, outhouses, blind stick, hearing aids, elbow stick on behalf of the organization.
- AWARENESS PROGRAMMES:
- HEALTH CHECK UP & AWARENESS CAMP:
The societies has organized awareness campaigning on the health of the mothers and child by providing medical check-up, treatment and distribution of medicines free of cost to the rural children and expected mothers during the reporting time at different places of Nagaon district and the Volunteers of the Surrounding areas extended co-operation during the programme.
- AWARENESS PROGRAMS ON CAREER AND SKILL DEVELOPMENT
Numbers of career counseling and awareness programs are conducting in Nagaon district of Assam. Some of the remarkable programs were held at Rupahi College, SSS College, Batadrava, Dhing College, Juria College, Kuhumtoli Gaon Panchayat.
- AWARENESS CAMP ON ‘SWACH BHARAT ABHIYAN’:
Rupahi Kohinnor Club organizes Awareness Camp on ‘Swach Bharat Abhiyan’ Campaign in different place of Nagaon district in Assam where experts from PHE delivered their lectures on Swach Bharat Abhiyan. More than 500 local people & others officials from different department attend in Awareness Camps.
- ON HIV/AIDS AND DRUG ABUSE & DEADDICTION:
The organization conducts Awareness Programmes on Drug Abuse and Drug-Addiction and HIV/AIDS Awareness Programme at Nagaon, Bongaigaon & Bakska districts of Assam with the help of another nearest organization. The main objective of the programme is to create awareness and prevention of HIV/AIDS. Leaflet containing information of HIV/AIDS and condoms were also distributed amongst the trucker.

- LIBRARY SERVICES FOR SC AND ST STUDENTS:
The Organization is running a Public Library from its own sources at Rupahi where various types of books, magazines, Newspaper, Journals and periodicals and other relevant information for the development of general knowledge, current affairs for the people with reading room facilities are provided.
- A FREE COACHING CENTRE FOR SC/ST/OBC AND MINORITIES:
The organization is running a free coaching centre at Rupahi, Nagaon, Assam for competitive exams such as civil service, Banking, Railway, Postal, telecom etc. for the marginalized communities belonging to SC/ST/OBC/ Minorities Students.
- CULTURAL TRAINING PROGRAMME:
The organization organizes day long training program on Cultural Education at RKC Training Hall or other place of Nagaon district of Assam. The objective of the programme was to promote and preserve the traditional culture for our future generation.
- PROMOTION OF SELF HELP GROUPS:
United we stand divided we fall. This concept is used to form SHGs and a positive response has been received from the groups. In this process we have already formed 150 SHGs. All the activities of SHG formation, guidance and counseling are conducted by our expert & trained staff members. We also provide loan to SHGs with a minimum rate of interest, training to SHGs on different promotional activities, to open bank account & operation of cashbook etc.
